About

October 2015: I decided I needed to update my “About” page, but I didn’t want to delete my first one, so I’m just doing like authors do when they write a new introduction to their book that is being re-released. Here goes: August 4th was my one year anniversary of living in Honduras! I love it here. Really. I can’t imagine living in the States or anywhere else right now, just because I know that this is where God has me. We’re living in the city this year, and there are definitely pros and cons, but I am so grateful to be able to be more involved with church family and to be able to hang out with people and open up our house to our friends. My little students can be crazy and frustrating at times, but I wouldn’t trade them! They’re so special. I’m looking forward to seeing all of the great things they accomplish. I want to see them grow up and have their own families and be excellent, loving parents. I hope that through this blog, you would be able to connect with me & with what God is doing here. Thank you so much for taking the time to read it. 🙂

June 2014: I lived 22 years of my life in rapidly growing, oil-rich, flat, dry, almost treeless Odessa, Texas. And I’m not complaining. I grew up there and I loved it! However, my life–and address–have changed. I just moved to Tegucigalpa, Honduras as a missionary to teach at a bilingual, K-12, Christian academy. I could not be more excited!!! I’ve been dreaming with the Lord about adventures like this and now is the time to see this dream come to life. I figure that I’m pretty much obligated to start a blog now so that I can chronicle all the things God is doing here for the peeps at home (or wherever else) 😉 My hope is that I’ll be able to write about the things going on here and in my life in a way that is interesting and entertaining and enjoyable to read. Let me know how I do!
